According to Gladys Some, the Manager Corporate Affairs, the initiative aims at promoting equality and eradicating stigma associated with disability.

"Through this initiative we give mobile vending units, white canes, pampers among others," she said.

Speaking in Eldoret after donating 60 mobile units, 80 white canes and 60 pampers to people with disability from the county, Some said they are poised to empower the disabled financially to better their lives.

"The devices and financial management training offered to them will help eradicate poverty and provide avenues for employment, which will enhance economic growth," noted Some.

She added that since the program started, lives of 3,000 persons living with disabilities country wide have transformed.

"I urge county governments to ensure the rights of people with disability by employing and awarding tenders to them," she added.

She revealed that the initiative, which is a Corporate Social Responsibility activity, will traverse all the 47 counties.
