Kenya has reaffirmed that its plan to close refugee camp will go on as planned, insisting that all the camps will be closed by November 30.
Kenya's Interior Ministry rejected allegations by Human Rights Watch (HRW) that it is forcing the Somali refugees to return home.
Karanja Kibicho, Principal Secretary for Kenya’s Interior Ministry told Thomson Reuters Foundation that the timeline for the closure of the camps is November 30.
“Our timeline for the closure of the camp is November 30,” said Kibicho.
He further added that Kenya is conducting the exercise in a very humane way.
“We are conducting the exercise with the most humane way as possible. We are a country facing insecurity threats and we are as humane as possible,” said Kibicho.
