Political analyst George Omanga has said the constitution should be changed to revert the country to a one-party state.
Speaking yesterday in Kisii town, he said most people, especially politicians, are misusing the multi-party form of government to divide Kenyans and force their way to power.
He adds that the current multi-party system has made politicians power hungry and go-getters.
One party state encourages tolerance and unity unlike the current form system of democracy where politicians are dividing Kenyans and some ready to water their way up with blood for political gains,” he said.
“Politicians are now on each others neck, attacking and wanting similar positions with different intentions,” he said.
He said during Moi’s era the current problems did not exist and the nation was united more than it has ever been.
“The multi-party system has pushed many leaders to be power hungry and doing anything to achieve it,” he added.
“It is a time we change back to a one-party state until when we can learn to respect and use the multi-party system of governance,” said Omanga.
“The advantage of the one-party system of governance is unity. The nation is united under one national party and serves everybody," added Omambia.
“Some politicians don’t see eye to eye and have pulled along millions of innocent Kenyans into their own personal conflicts,” He said.
