What is surprising is that Kenya is an endowed country, with its share of resources.

As a country, it receives a good amount of rainfall, the seasons are favorable for agricultural practices as well as fertile soils.

The livelihood of Kenyans, however, has become horrendous and obnoxious with the cost of living hitting the roof.

A packet of maize meal is retailing Sh170 is something that should never be experienced in this country.

It is key to point out that every Kenyan has a gene for farming in their blood stream.

Even with a small space, Kenyans are known to utilize that to grow vegetables on their verandas or even window panes.

It is, therefore, intriguing to hear that basic commodities like sugar and maize flour are lacking.

If thus, everyone is a farmer and they can produce enough share for their household and more is left to share with others, how then is it possible that the stores are dry?
