Cord leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga took to Twitter to wish the ailing former president Mwai Kibaki quick recovery and declare his support for the family.
The ODM party leadeR who was part of Kibaki's grand-coalition government after a wrangled election in 2007 wished Kibaki a speedy recovery and encouraged his family to be strong during the trying times.
"Get well soon Mr President. Our country still needs you. We believe all Kenyans have him in prayers too," said Raila.
The former president was admitted at Karen Hospital before he was flown to South Africa on Sunday evening for further treatment.
It is however not revealed what the 84-year-old is suffering from but the whole nation has taken to social media to stand with him.
All that remains vivid though is the fact that Kibaki fell ill on Saturday night at his Muthaiga home.
