Kenya's national men and women’s hockey teams will take to the field Friday as the ongoing Africa cup of Nations enters the penultimate stage in Ismailia, Egypt.
The men’s team will face powerhouse and defending champions South Africa while their female counterparts will take on Egypt.
The teams registered mixed results after losing all their opening matches before recovering to register wins against Nigeria.
Kenya men’s team saw off Nigeria 2-1 while their female counterparts humbled Nigeria 1-0.
Five nation’s hosts Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa are taking part in the continental showpiece.
The winners of the championship will qualify for the 2018 hockey World Cup set to be held in England and India respectively.
