Nairobi will host the second edition of a four-day international golf tournament that will be held in July with over 100 professional golf players confirming their participation.
The players will be from countries such as Brazil, England, South Africa, United States, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Chile, Sweden, Portugal, Australia, Ireland and Kenya itself as the host nation.
It will be an amazing opportunity for Kenyan golfers to gain more experience while playing with their top-ranked counterparts when the tournament kicks off.
The competition, Karen Masters, will see golfers who excel take home various accolades awarded courtesy of merit and excellence in certain areas of the game.
South African based professional expedition firm Sunshine Tour will sponsor the event.
Tournament Director Andy Watt said the tournament will help the local golfers also gain experience as well as invitations to play abroad.
“What is about the event is the balance of the Sunshine Tour and other African professional players, which will afford golfers an opportunity to play against some of the best in the continent as well as gaining invitations to travel and play in other countries,” Watt said at the launch of the tournament on Wednesday 13th June, 2018.
The golf course was given the green light to host the tournament after officials toured it and okayed it in line with the acceptable international standards.
