Health Cabinet Secretary Cleopa Mailu. [Photo/Citizen TV] Health Cabinet Secretary Cleopa Mailu will on Monday 13th, November 2017 preside over a media breakfast to mark the World Pneumonia Day at the Panafric Hotel from 7.00 am.
This year, Kenya marks the day under the theme “Stop Pneumonia: Invest in Child Health” with focus on raising awareness about pneumonia in children under five years.
Apart from that this year's event will be promoting interventions to treat pneumonia by launching Amoxicillin Dispersible Tablets as first-line treatment for pneumonia in children under five years.
Finally, the focus will also be on generating collective action to combat pneumonia.
World pneumonia day is always marked on the 12 November of every year.
