Kenya is no stranger to corruption scandals; they have defined successive administrations since independence.Corruption has been cited in numerous forums as the reason why development appears to be stalling.The country is now poised to benefit from a U.S government anti-corruption initiative.Trump has been a partner in Kenya's anti-corruption struggle, pumping about 100 million shillings in efforts aimed at significantly reducing corruption.Deputy director in the office of anti-crimes programmes bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs revealed that fighting corruption a top priority for the United States of America government.“We are also supporting Kenya fight corruption at the borders. This has been an ongoing programme,” Mr. Leventhal said according to the Daily Nation.Those words were made during a telephonic presser with Kenyan journalists.Kenya has also benefitted from the stolen assets recovery programme where the U.S has helped Kenya recover about 150 million dollars that had been lost through corruption.
