A Kenyan in Belgium has been arrested over the death of his former girlfriend.

According to the Belgian newspaper HLN, 55 year old James Ololo drove to the house of Elizabeth Wafula against a court order instructing that he immediately leaves the premises.

A tussle then ensued between the two and Ololo took a knife and stabbed the 53-year-old lady several times. 

Ms Wafula succumbed to the injuries.

According to her family and neighbours, it was the court’s decision which led to the disagreement that eventually cost her her life.

The man asked neighbours to call the police before he was arrested.

"I never expected this," said Simeon Situma, his business partner.
