Kenyan Bishop killed in Juba. [Photo/Courtesy]A Kenyan bishop was killed, Friday morning, at a church in Munuki, Juba, South Sudan.
This is according to South Sudan’s police spokesperson, Brigadier Daniel Justin.
Justin noted that several suspects linked to the murder of Bishop Joel Mwendwa, have been detained.
“We went to the place of the incident and some of the suspects have been arrested,” he told a local radio station as quoted by Daily Nation.
“What we understand is that he was killed using a panga (machete), but we are waiting for a medical report,” he said adding that investigations into the killings have been are ongoing.
Mwendwa was serving at the Christ ministry in Munuki. His body was taken to Juba Teaching Hospital for a post-mortem.
