Divock Origi has attributed much of his football success to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. Origi, who is currently in Kenya for holiday with his family, said that Klopp played a major role in his career during his time at Liverpool.
Origi spent last season in Germany on loan at Wolfsburg and the Belgian is expected to reunite with Klopp next season when he returns to Anfield.
“I have worked under several coaches and wish to appreciate each one of them. Jurgen Klopp though has helped me improve, he knows how to push you into performing, he knows exactly what should happen,” Origi told NTV.
Origi, son to former Kenyan player Mike Okoth, is currently in Nairobi after missing out on the Belgian squad to the 2018 Fifa World Cup.
Liverpool, then under Brendan Rodgers, signed Origi on a five-year long-term deal from Lille in the 2014-15 season after staring in last Fifa World Cup where he played in all the Belgium’s five games in Brazil.
