A Kenyan couple committed suicide in US state of New Jersey in what neighbours suspect as domestic violence, reports the Daily Nation.
In the shocking incident, Henry Okong'o with his wife Lydiah, were found dead in their apartment on Monday morning.
"Three children have been left without parents. This is bad," a neighbour was quoted by the local media.
At the time of gruesome murder, two children aged one and three years were reportedly present when Okong'o allegedly shot his wife of ten years before turning to himself.
Kenyans living in the US have since confirmed that the couple has been struggling in their marriage with separations witnessed in between.
"Most of us who knew the couple very well know that they have had a tough marriage," said George Omburo, a church elder.
Back in Gusii region where the couple hails from, condemned the matter on social media forums with cases of domestic violence taking centre stage.
It is not the first time a Gusii community member has committed suicide in US given at least 3 cases reported in 2017 by local media.
