According to Khaleej Times, the guard disappeared after stealing the money from a vehicle that was transporting the cash to an ATM at a popular shopping mall in the city.

The incident happened at around 10:30 pm when the man distracted his colleagues and disappeared with the cash.

Kenyans in the Middle East have bitterly lamented over the incident, saying the man did not care about the reputations of other Kenyans in the region or that of the country in general.

Kenyans in the past have been treated to such heist, with the recent case being last year’s theft where thieves dug a tunnel and stole more than Sh50 million belonging to KCB Bank.

They reportedly used oxy-acetylene welding machine to generate a flame that they used to drill holes into the two bank safes that had the loot.
