Suzie Chesum, who hails from Uasin Gishu County has been lauded by the Kenyan team to Gold Coast, Australia, for ensuring that all Kenyans who are travelling to the 12-day Commonwealth games are comfortable.
Chesum has shown great hospitality by making numerous trips to the airport to receive batches of Kenyan athletes and officials.
She organizes for accommodation for those in need, including the members of Parliament and senators who travelled there and also help them tour around the Gold Coast.
Although the Australian authorities do not allow any importation of foodstuffs, Chesum sources Unga for the traditional Kenyan Ugali which is so rare served there. She ensures that the Kenyan athletes and officials get their meal.
"I am trying to find some Unga for the Kenyan team so that they can be well fed," Chesum told Nation.
Chesum, the indefatigable lady, from North Rift has also shown great hospitality by hosting a delegation of about 50 officials, athletes and media for an informal reception at her residence.
Chesum is the managing director of Star of Africa International, a Dubai and Australian company she founded over 20 years ago with interests in tourism, trade, logistics and hospitality.
"We have organized travels in Australia for the Kenyan team after games. We will also have cocktails, dinners and parties," added Chesum.
