Modelling career in Kenya has turned to be an opportunity where men in the Modelling industry take advantage of young and beautiful ladies.
The agencies in Kenya have turned the Modelling industry into a brothel to satisfy their sexual desires.
Sheila Kanini, Miss world Kenya 2016, got concerned and opened up on the dark side of being a Kenyan model, a discussion that made many youths who works as models to share their part of the stories.
“I auditioned for an advert with a communication company, was later called with the terms and conditions ‘’I was to hook up with the guy that evening give him a blowjob in his car and as we were to shoot in different cities, I was to sleep with him throughout the shoot,” @pumwendwa twitted.
“The entertainment industry is brutal, its cutthroat, cruel and so hard to make it. it’s sad that in this era, models aren’t being paid for their hard work but instead promised good platforms,” said @ladiebeeke.
“They encourage you ‘’do not focus in monetary value because this will be good for your brand’’ auditions are no longer free, you must be knowing someone or something shady to earn that chance,” @LMilliong posted.
“I did an influencer job for a certain company linked up by a friend. the experience was horrible, making payments after 4 months and less the figure we agreed,” said @VictorMochere.
“The modeling industry in Kenya is a rot and disgusting platform where agencies take advantages of young naïve girls,” twitted @xtiandela.“We don’t want exposure and we don’t want jobs in exchange for sexual favors,” said Sheila Kanini.
It is high time the agencies pay models and stop ruining their future by turning them into sex toys.
