A section of Kenyans have criticised the police following the manner in which they handled the National Super Alliance (Nasa) supporters on Friday. The police used water canons, teargas and live bullets to repulse the supporters and oppositions leaders who had turned up in large numbers to welcome Nasa principal Raila Odinga back to the country after a 10 day US tour. The officers also hit a windscreen of Raila's car with Nasa saying that was an assasination attempt on his life.
The ugly event left five supporters of Nasa dead with reports indicating they were allegedly shot dead by police.
