Kenya Volley Federation men’s national champions GSU and Kenya Prisons have landed strong opponents in the 2018 men’s Africa Club championship which starts off at Al-Ahly Hall in Cairo, Egypt.
Prisons have been drawn in pool A against defending champions and record winners Al-Ahly of Egypt, Police of Ivory Coast, Espoir of Congo, Nemostar of Uganda, and Red Skin of Lesotho.GSU have been pooled in Group D together with Cameroon’s Port, Olumpique of Algeria, Kampala of Uganda, Wolaitta of Ethiopia and Elguish of Egypt.
GSU who finished 17th in 2016 will be returning to the competition after missing in action last year in Tunisia, while Prisons finished seventh last year, and are both seeking a semifinal finish.
