Kenya Prisons kicked off their campaign at the ongoing African Volleyball Club Championship at Ahly Hall in Cairo, Egypt in style, winning their opening two matches.
The Kenyan side on Wednesday saw off Democratic Republic of Congo's Espoir 3-0, adding to their first victory of 3-0 against Lesotho's Redskin.
Prisons started the match against Espoir weakly, with the opponents taking full charge throughout the first set.
The Kenyan team, however, made a late surge to clinch a 26-24 win, before subsequent 25-21, 25-17 wins.
The team will face their toughest opponent yet when they take to the pitch to face champions and hosts Ahly at 9 pm Kenyan time in their third match.
A win will see them inch closer to securing a last eight slot with two matches to spare.Other Kenyan representatives champion GSU also their second match, beating Wolaitta of Ethiopia 3-1.
