Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) chairman John Ngumi has responded to arrest warrants by Tanzanian government over alleged Sh600 million bribe.
According to Ngumi, he reads witch-hunt in Tanzania's renewed efforts to have him extradited to face bribery charges.
The Sh600 million bribery scandal is relating to a government bond floated in 2012.
"It is total rubbish. The case has nothing to do with Tanzania but witch-hunt on what we are doing in Kenya," Ngumi said.
Tanzania wants Kenyan authorities to extradite Ngumi and former Stanbic Tanzania CEO Bashir Awale.
On his part, Awale is accused of using the money as an inducement for state officials to favour the two banks when Tanzania floated the international bond.
This comes as Concern Citizen announced that it will hold a protest at the KPC headquarters on Wednesday to press for Ngumi's resignation.
