President Uhuru Kenyatta has hit out at NASA leader Raila Odinga for leading campaigns to boycott the October 26 repeat election.
While addressing residents of Kajiado on Saturday, the president said Raila has been complaining and issuing ultimatums since the Supreme Court nulified his (Uhuru's) win.
"Tunamwambia Wakenya wamechoka. Tukisonga mbele anaturudisha nyuma, ati Kenya hii haiwezi endelea bila yeye. My friend Kenya is not about an individual but 45 million people," Uhuru said.
"Yule mganga ako na haki ya kubaki nyumbani ... sisi hatuwasumbui. Tunawaambia, wasikanyagie haki ya Wakenya ambao watapiga kura."
Loosely translated to: "We're telling him (Raila) that Kenyans are tired. When we move forward, he takes us backwards saying Kenya cannot move on without him ... but we're telling them not to stop those who want to vote."
