If all Kenyans would have remained at their homes to watch Cord leaders demonstrating, there would have been no stories of regret and anger still going on today.
Police simply follow the orders they are given and should not always be blamed for their actions. They will do anything to end the disorder. What do you think will happen if you lose your life while participating in protests? Would your family get any compensation? Are you famous in the country and well known to any of the politicians whom you join in protesting?
Kenyans should note that once one is caught, no politician will come to your rescue. The police will beat you up senseless. As individuals, we should think about our safety. Personal safety is important and should be prioritised.
Youths should not allow themselves to be used like arrows and bridges. Even if you protest, you will still be jobless as the politicians continue feeding themselves and living the good life.
The common mwananchi is always quick to call the police ignorant yet they themselves partake in things such as demonstrations that are not beneficial to them.
Despite the fact that they never went to school as some say, the police do all they can in securing the country. Once we are beaten up by the police we should blame ourselves in such occasions and not the government and the interior ministry. The officers' duty is to restore order as also ordered to do so from above.
As Kenyans, we can choose to better this country by not presenting ourselves to events that might lead to our death but rather focus on civilised ways to handle our problems and this can only be done by doing away with politics.
As Kenyans, we are in the forefront posting on social media about our political support something that will divide us. Kenya is a blessed nation let us not take that for granted.
