A section of Kenyans have lashed out at Jubilee Party vice chairperson David Murathe.

This is after he 'belittled' the National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Speaking during a television interview on Citizen TV, Tuesday evening, the Jubilee official said president Uhuru Kenyatta snubbed the presidential debate because he had his own plan on how to engage with citizens.

He further noted that Uhuru could not lower himself to Raila’s level and debate with him since he is the president.

“On that front, there was no one to compare Uhuru with. The rest are candidates, he is the president,” said Murathe.

The president was expected to face off with the Nasa flag bearer at the debate on Monday, July 24 but he failed to show up.

A section of Kenyans who were unhappy with Murathe’s remarks, took on social media to criticise him with some saying he was arrogant.
