Speaking in Eldoret town on Tuesday after paying a courtesy call to the Uasin Gishu County Commissioner, Kavuludi said that the public is to blame for the increased corruption in the police service through encouraging rogue police officers by giving bribes.

"I blame Kenyans for the increased rate of corruption in the police service since they are they ones who encourage them to take bribes by giving them whever they are found breaking the law," he said.

"Why should you bribe a police officer to be released and yet you know you have committed a mistake? If we want corruption to cease in the police service Kenyans should by all means avoid giving bribes," he added.

He also put on notice police officers who are involved in corruption on notice saying that their days are numbered and soon will be arrested and prosecuted thereafter shown the door.
