Dennis Itumbi, the Director of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President, was on the receiving end on Wednesday as State House Deputy Spokesperson Kanze Dena made her maiden address to the nation.
Netizens seem hell-bent to create a supremacy war between the two top staff within President Uhuru Kenyatta’s media team.
Social media has been awash with reports that the appointment of Kanze meant Itumbi had been demoted.
This is after Kanze’s appointment letter said she will be in charge of the president’s messaging team which was earlier understood to be under Itumbi.

On Wednesday, cheeky social media users chided Itumbi.
"He awards you HSC, then employs KanzeDena to take up your JD, leaving you with only one thing to do, posting pictures on FB and twitter," Tash Githaka tweeted.
Itumbi responded with a hard tackle."Is that not a good thing my friend?"@gathii-mark tweetedYou're expired.

Meanwhile, President Uhuru Kenyatta welcomed the former Swahili news anchor to the house on the hill.
"Welcome to the @PSCU Digital team, @Kanzedena. Public service is the highest calling open to us; I’m pleased you’ve taken it up. May God guide you throughtout your term of service. You join a highly talented, effective and dedicated team," Uhuru said.
