A private plane carrying five Kenyans and 67 people of Somali from the United States has arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)The 72 people were deported from the US under orders from President Donald Trump, who has intensified the crackdown on illegal immigrants in America. This is the second time that Kenyans and Somalis have been deported in large numbers from the ‘Land of Opportunity’ in under six months. Soon after moving into the White House in January, Mr Trump ordered the deportation of 90 Somalis and two Kenyans. It is estimated that more than 12 million people are staying in the United States illegally. Most of the Kenyans in that group outstayed their visas by refusing to return home when their permits to stay on US soil expired.
