After activist Boniface Mwangi wrote a long detailed letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta outlining the ways of fighting corruption, Kenyans have offered their response that lean on the positive and negative sides in equal measure.
Some applauded Mwangi of being on a noble course and asked him to help in the anti-graft battle even more.
"Well articulated. Sadly, the chief corrupt officer will never listen. He's already planning how to steal more. This regime was a big mistake to be allowed to assume office in 2013. The worst will happen in the next 5 years if at all they succeed. Except nothing but the worst," said Omondi Kadimo.
"Successful people like you offer solutions. This is what you just did. Thank you. I hope this has been delivered to the president. Its quite comprehensive and inclusive. He cant fight corruption by himself. We have gone to bed with corruption to the detriment of our country," said Kendi Hilla.
However, most responses showed Kenyans were not on the same rail as Mwangi.
"This guy either lives in mars or Pluto. The president does not have the powers you imagine he has.You conveniently forget that there are three arms of government. The last time I checked Uhuru was not a judicial officer. His hands are tied by the constitution," said Tom Kena.
Njindo Biladrama said: "If you spent some of your energies in the right places, it would yield results instead of just looking for political mileage. The Judiciary is the biggest hurdle in the fight against corruption and if you could please write an open letter to the CJ Maraga it would be a good start."
"Don't try too hard to be a pain in the ass,you are just a fly that can be squeezed with two fingers.am not rude on you,but you need to take a day off what you do and think hard, whether you will keep calm and live well or you will talk crap and end up a wasted soul on a river bank," said David Lawrence.
"Theft of public resources is a grave threat to this nation more than any ever before. This government will not fight corruption, not now, not ever ever. The country has been auctioned off to the highest bidders. Right from the County level to the core of the National government," said Alex Muthua.
