One of the most revered and coveted committees in parliament is in no doubt the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

The committee came under attack from Kenyans on social media who demanded accountability from the committee.This is after taking almost two years and the committee is yet to reveal who was really responsible for the NYS scandal.The majority of Kenyans claimed that the committee led by Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo was not keen to disclose the masterminds of the NYS scam but just drawing allowances while chasing a wild goose. It is sad that after conducting their own investigations and terming EACC investigations shambolic but which had in fact found Waiguru not guilty, PAC said they found nothing to implicate Waiguru but only recommended a lifestyle audit of former CS Devolution Ann Waiguru.They also recommended that the same EACC whom they said conducted shambolic inquiry should again carry out another investigation on Waiguru.
