The injuries at University of Nairobi Kikuyu campus, Kiambu County where a transformer exploded and caused a bomb scare is an indication of how Kenyans are vulnerable and lost trust in the security of the country according to the county governor William Kabogo.

Kabogo said that the bomb scare which resulted to a stampede as students scampered for safety is a signal Kenyans are now living in fear since the security of the country is questionable.

The incidents which left one student lifeless and several others injured Kabogo said that the government should step up its game and restore the lost trust Kenyans have towards the government.

He condemned the consistent insecurity attacks in the country and urged Kenyans to be patient and let the government deal with the situation as they work towards building the nation.

Kabogo revealed that Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) will have hard time convincing Kenyans come 2017 in terms of fulfilling the previous manifesto when Kenyans will want a recap of the government development.

He cited security being the major concern leave alone employment and promised laptops saying the plate is full for the President to handle if measures will not be taken urgently.

The county boss who was speaking on Monday morning in Thika township ward advocated Uhuru Kenyatta to set in place strategies to restoring the trust of Kenyans as soon as possible.

He has however sent a message of condolence to the Kikuyu campus students promising them that security level at institutions in Kiambu will be well vigilant.

He said that he will work with the national government to ensure repetition of the Garissa attack is not accomplished at any institution in his county.
