A group of Kenyans detained in Saudi Arabia are pleading with president Uhuru Kenyatta to rescue them from death in the Arab nation.
In a shocking video shared online, about 10-15 Kenyans dressed in full hijab in a tiny cell pass their message to the President to facilitate their release from prison and bring them back home - Kenya
"We are in trouble here is Saudi because we are living under very inhumane conditions and some of us have even died here. Some of us are very sick, please President Uhuru or anyone else out there come and get us out of here," one of them says in the undated video
Saudi authorities and employers have been known to torture foreigners who troop to the kingdom in search of greener pastures.
"We have been jailed here without committing any crime, we cannot even communicate with our loved ones at home because they have confiscated our phones from us and our families do not know where we are," laments another
Hundreds of Kenyans continue to travel to the Arab country lured by the promise of well-paying jobs despite a government ban in September 2014.
The authenticity of the video is yet to be established.
