Four Kenyans jailed in South Sudan are yet to be released more than a month after a Court of Appeal quashed their 72 years sentence.
On Tuesday, families of the four held protests in Nairobi demanding the intervention of the government.
They petitioned Parliament, the Office of the President, the Foreign Affairs ministry and the South Sudanese embassy in Nairobi to facilitate their return home.
The four, Ravi Ghaghda, Boniface Muriuki, Anthony Keya and Anthony Mwadime, were jailed in Juba on May 29, 2015 after being found guilty of forgery and money laundering, resulting in the loss of $14 million in President Salva Kiir's office.
Sudan's Court of Appeal overturned the sentence on April 17 and ordered a retrial.
"Lawyer Kiir Chol who is representing them has been barred from practicing just to frustrate us," Ghaghda's sister Tejal told journalists.
He said the ministry will convene a meeting with the families on the matter.
