Kenyans on social media lauded Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale, after he reached out to help Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri when he fainted at Milimani law courts on Friday.
Kenyans took to social media to laud the act, with many terming the Cord allied senator’s move as a good gesture of humanity.
The MP fainted when he appeared in court together with other leaders who were facing hate speech charges, but before he could take a plea, his lawyer, Cliff Ombeta informed the court that his client was feeling unwell and requested he be taken for medical checkup.
He however fainted a few minutes before he pleaded to charges, which he later denied.
Ombeta lamented over the poor conditions at Pangani police station, saying it was the main reason the MP fainted.
"My client is feeling unwell due to pretrial punishment that he was subjected to," said Ombeta.
