Kenyans On Twitter are asking president Uhuru Kenyatta to end the strike of the lecturers that has paralyzed learning in public universities.
While condoling the death of Winnie Mandela and twitting on commissioning of eye and dental center, the head of state received replies from Kenyans agonizing about the strike.
“The perennial strikes of lecturers in public universities is a hefty levy on students’ future,” said @joeNgatia6.
“Please Mr. president end this strike already we are tired of staying at home and doing nothing when we are supposed to be in school…,” replied @chepkoeck_john.
“Mr. president please try and ensure the public lecturers are back to class,” twitted @NyugutoDaniel.
“Welcome back your excellency. In meantime, university students have not gone to class since 1st march,” noted @ikobausy.
“End lecture’s strike excellency we’re tired of being in campus for 7 years doing a 4-year course because of these unending strikes we are seriously frustrated,” cried @chqlloh.
“Lecturers are on STRIKE. We don’t want to hear of Mandela Winnie and Student are not learning,” said @OukojohnJ.
“Your Excellency let us fix the lecturers’ strike. It is taking a toll on our young Kenyans who are spending over 6 years for a 4 course,” said @silaleeastpokot.
“Kindly find a solution for the prolonged lectures strike we are suffering academically,” said MmboneF.
