Kenyans on social media have united in expressing grief over the death of former First Lady Lucy Kibaki at the Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London.

After the release of information about the death by President Uhuru Kenyatta, the country went viral in both Twitter and Facebook.

Leaders of all levels have led the country in mourning among them the Chief Justice Willy Mutunga and the Council of Governors. 

The late Lucy will be remembered for her efforts in the fight against HIV/Aids. She was the First Lady during former president Mwai Kibaki reign between 2002 and 2013. 

Her last appearance in public was during the promulgation of the new constitution in 2010. May her soul rest in peace.
