There is no doubt in the minds of many Kenyans that 2017 was a year fraught with economic hardship.There was a spike in the prices of basic commodities like flour and sugar.Unemployment got even worse.Kenyans say goodbye to this year of challenges, they hope that the 2018 new year will bring with it better tidings.The Jubilee administration has vowed to make the economy it's top priority.Many expect that Uhuru Kenyatta will make good on his pledge to create employment opportunities for the youth.Given he has no re-election to worry about, the president has greater independence to see his agenda for the country implemented.
