[Photo| Courtesy]A section of Kenyans online have expressed their opinion following the promotion of former IEBC commissioner Roselyn Akombe to a senior position at the UN Department of Political affairs amid opposition from the Kenyan Mission at the UN.Akombe resigned from the electoral commission less than a week to the October 26 repeat presidential election saying IEBC had been compromised. She worked for the UN at the secretariat in New York City as a political advisor before being promoted to the position of Director-level Chief of Policy Planning and Guidance.Majority of the online users have congratulated Akombe. Others noted that the Ex-IEBC official was being rewarded for standing by the truth. Below are some responses sampled from twitter:@CarringtonMwen1: When Roselyn Akombe resigned from IEBC, she was branded unpatriotic because she slapped some people with the truth and refused to be drawn into a lie that was Oct 26th elections. Lesson; Better a word of truth that hurts for a while than a lie that hurts for a lifetime.@retired_comrade: All the attempts by illegitimate jubilee regime to deport and demote Dr Akombe from UN just backfired thoroughly; Ethical, integrity, Honesty will always prevail the darkness. Congratulations Dr Roselyn Akombe on your promotion!!@PAULmai19370169: standing with truth pay. in this universe of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act ROSELYN AKOMBE SORI AKOBAE@jeff_amota: Shunned at home for Resisting👊 shambolic elections ..... Roselyn Akombe congratulations are in order.@johnkabiru13: Congratulations "Roselyn Akombe " , If you were working somewhere in Ke, you would now be facing some fake allegations , and your family facing threats because of your firm believes and integrity.@johnkabiru13Despot @UKenyatta , William Looter and illegitimate E.G.H holder @kipmurkomen are always quick in congratulating Kenyans doing well abroad, like they all did to Olunga, Have they not heard of the recent "Roselyn Akombe " successes at the UN?
