[Photo| Hon Babu Owino/Facebook]Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili popularly known as Babu Owino elicited mixed reactions online after he revealed when he will be vying for the presidency seat. In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Owino asked the IEBC chair to start preparing to announce him as the winner in 2027 as that is the year he will be vying for the country's top seat. "By the time I’ll be vying for presidency in 2027 the iebc chairman then better prepare to announce me the winner by bullet or by bullet.we have learnt the hard way and won’t make mistakes anymore," the ODM legislator posted. A section of his followers supported his move while others mocked him.One follower identified as Victor Owano noted that he was ready to loose his life at any moment just to see Owino achieves his dream. "With you as the presidential candidate come that year can be felt already, we will be ready to die with you at any moment until the dream is achieved. Keep going mweshimiwa. Here in Kenya, no one invited the other," Owano posted. However, Harry Kagothos who was against the move asked the former Sonu student leader to keep a low profile and seek wisdom. "Sometimes it's wisdom to be silent . You're a marked and cursed man . Keep low profile and talk less. Big mouthed heroes never live to fight another day . Seek wisdom more and not knowledge," Kagothos said. Gideon Kimutai thought Owino was thinking far much ahead instead of serving his constituents.

"We are 10 years away from 2027, don't you think you think you owe the Embakasi East electorate a lot as of now and you are talking of bullets.... Wait, eti you got how many degrees?" Kimutai posed.

Ithe Wa Ngugi on his part assured Owino of his vote come 2022.

"BTW, if you vie for that position Babu, I will indefinitely give you my one vote. Land grabbers have a special place in Kamiti not in Statehouse," Ngugi wrote.
