A section of Kenyans has hit out at former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo following his proposal that Kenya should have seven sitting presidents.
Speaking at Citizen TV on Wednesday, Kabogo said that the seven presidents who will be drawn from the seven provinces will then form a sitting council in which each will become a chair for one year.
According to Kabogo, the move will free Kenyans from the rampant corruption cases.
"In my radical proposal, let us have seven presidents from each province sitting in a council where each becomes chair for a year. This way, they will have no time to plan for corruption," said Kabogo.
His suggestion, however, was met with sharp criticism, with a section of Kenyans castigating him for his radical opinion.
"Who is going to pay salaries for all those?!! Poor Kenyans?!! By the way the system isn't the problem but rather the "computer generated leaders." The moment our electoral body becomes free and fair, all our problems will be solved instantly even with the current system," said Donald Nyakeyo.
"He is sick. No wonder he lost his seat to baba yao. Come on. So Kabogo is still drunk from Kiambu politics. Gela lala here!!!!!" Steve Kuria said.
"...it's a well-known fact that we have corruption in all countries of the world, the problem is how we can reduce it to a manageable level," said Mwangi Wa Kariuki.
"Say something which makes sense don't just talk because you're invited to the studio," Odhiambo Millagross said.
"Get the message first before killing the messenger, Kabogo is right this way we will end corruption and reduce regular post-election violence," Boniface Kipkorir said.
"Guys did to know what a radical proposal means.....one is entitled to his opinion," John Macharia said.
