Just a few hours ago, major media outlets Citizen TV and NTV were allegedly switched off under unclear circumstances on all free to air platforms.

However, NTV is still accessible to DSTV subscribers while Citizen TV is still inaccessible even on the pay TV platform.

This shut down comes a day after mixed communication from the Kenya Editors Guild over claimed intimidation from government to gag the media ahead of contoversial Raila Odinga's swearing-in.

Kenyans have taken to social media to respond on the development and here asre some of their views.
