Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka have been condemned after it emerged that they had a private meeting without involving opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The two leaders have now come under fire after accusations of hatching a plot to oust Raila Odinga's presidential ambitions were revealed.
"Cord kwisha. Baba akiwa mbali watoto wanaenda kwa farm kumsengenya...lol," posted Henelico Macharia.
"You and Wetangula are behaving like cry babies always complaining...can you go out and spend your money in rallying support all over the country even in Nyanza," reads Emlyn Joseph's post.
"Bila baba yote ni vanity...jiwe moja la meko limetolewa..kupika chakula kiive itakua noma sana. Cord wanaplan ku fail," Posted Beda Konga.
Kalonzo and Wetangula had held a consultation meeting on July 31 at Kalonzo's home in Yatta, Machakos county. However, details of the meeting remain unknown to the public.
Unconfirmed reports, however, indicates that the two leaders are seeking to convince Raila to step down and let one of them battle it out with President Uhuru in 2017.
Kalonzo has so far dismissed the claims and could neither confirm nor deny the meeting they held with Wetangula.
"I am aware of the conspiracy claims but they are all lies. We are united to send this Jubilee government home since it has only excelled in tribalism and epic corruption," Kalonzo told a local daily.
"I don't know when the coalition will pick its presidential candidate. We are still consulting," he added.
The meetings did not go well with a section of the public that read mischief and questioned why Raila was not involved.
