The latest visit by former Gatanga Mp Peter Kenneth at Deputy President William Ruto's back yard has raised eyebrows in the political scene.

The former legislator was hosted by Kapseret Mp Oscar Sudi during church fundraising in his constituency.

Other leaders who were present are Senate deputy Speaker Kithure Kindiki, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, and Deputy President William Ruto’s personal assistant Farouk Kibet.

The more than 20 MPs, senators, and governors, who during the event on Sunday said that Mr. Kenneth was a formidable force in consolidating support for Ruto's 2022.

This follows a declaration made by legislators from Central Kenya who in an event attended by Deputy President William Ruto in Kiambu county who vowed to support his presidential ambitions. This has continued to spark political intrigues. On his part Keneth described Dp Ruto his close friend and said his invitation to the region was a sign of things to come and promised that more would follow.

Kenneth re-emergence to has elicited a heated debate online with a section of Kenyans arguing that he was not fit to take up the mantle of Deputy President.
