Kenyans have condemned the bank of paying peanuts to Masters graduates who work for them without also offering them a permanent contract yet the bosses on the higher cadres are pocketing millions monthly.

Unconfirmed reports revealed that KCB CEO Mr Joshua Oigara takes home Sh21 million monthly.

Here are some of the comments shared by Kenyans online.

My cousin used to work with KCB sometimes back, 2015 there. He had a masters in accounting but his gross monthly salary was a mere 25k. He worked for a year, renewing his contract twice as an intern with no sign of being promoted to permanent. He left. #KcbBeastsOfBurden— Duncan Makori (@EngnrDan) April 19, 2018.

Mathematically speaking @JoshuaOigara salary can pay 2,625 Clerks employed at @KCBGroup on contract #KcbBeastsOfBurden pic.twitter.com/dCaAtPSKEE— Cyprian, Is Nyakundi (@C_NyaKundiH) April 19, 2018.

Going through this hashtag #KcbBeastsOfBurden I'm mad but not really shocked, KCB has been exploiting rather enslaving junior staff at the expense of executives. Oigara taking home 21M per month n another person doing the donkey job 21K. Witchcraft— Bel Akinyi (@BelAkinyii) April 19, 2018.

Slavery did not end; it only rebranded. Today, it is called "EMPLOYMENT", and most slaves have been made to believe they cannot survive without it.-----#JoshuaNjengaChats#KcbBeastsOfBurden#YouthEmpowerment2018— Joshua K. Njenga (@JKNjenga) April 19, 2018.

Here is @JoshuaOigara Circular denying clerks bonus Yet he himself takes home 21M per month. Very embarrassing to employ on contract and deny people bonuses @CBKKenya @njorogep #KcbBeastsOfBurden pic.twitter.com/vJTjau0xPP— Robert Syundu (@RobertSyundu) April 19, 2018.

Having worked in the banking industry or 3 years , let me make a few observations on #KcbBeastsOfBurden from insider experience. We must put things into perspective @Disembe @C_NyaKundiH— Rein (@Asamoh_) April 19, 2018.

Employers are capitalizing on the desperation that has enveloped the youth. A large number of people are skilled and jobless. They chose to work as they hope for greener pastures. We are slowly auctioning the future of Kenya - THE YOUTH. #KcbBeastsOfBurden— Marvin Gakunyi, WordSmith ✍️ (@MarvinGakunyi) April 19, 2018.

I know of a classmate whom @KCBGroup picked to sell insurance in tea growing Kericho. Paid her peanuts for nearly four years but because of the joblessness in Kenya, such graduates say they are in it for ‘experience’. #KcbBeastsOfBurden— D I K E M B E (@Disembe) April 19, 2018.

Despite Joshua Oigara Looting and Taking home salary of a whooping Kshs 21m, KCB BANK renewed his contract for a four-year term to continue Looting, That's Kenya for you, the corrupt are rewarded and Corruption is sanitized by Mainstream media. #KcbBeastsOfBurden— Philip Okwama (@POkwama) April 19, 2018.

Guys, i think we should avoid this bank at all cost. Personally, i am not going to bank with them again. It's inhuman to take home 21m per month and employees are paid peanuts. Shame on you #KcbBeastsOfBurden— josephkihara (@josephkihara10) April 19, 2018.

#KcbBeastsOfBurden While Oigara takes home Ksh 21,000,000 per month, just look at what his clerks that you see on the counter take home. In short, Oigara’s salary can pay 2,625 contract clerks. pic.twitter.com/Zv8cMirfNC— George Collins🇰🇪 (@georgecolyns) April 19, 2018.

#KcbBeastsOfBurden it goes a long way to say the rich own this country, the poor are used as a stepping stone for the rich to access their needs— arlene (@arlenebett1) April 19, 2018.

So @KCBGroup pays its most important employees peanuts, then force them to smile on those counters, dress decently as if they have a 6 figure salary, report to work early, leave late and then lie to the public on creating employment and supports entrepreneurship #KcbBeastsOfBurden— Agoi George (@agoi_george) April 19, 2018.

A lot worse is happening at the cooperate world, graduates tied to loans, mortgages&debts like this #KcbBeastsOfBurden— The maximalist (@anthonymunywok8) April 19, 2018.

The board and shareholders of @KCBGroup think Mr. Oigara deserves 21M a month. He makes them billions. There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who drink and those who pour. The KCB staff on contract should stop whining and fill Mr. Oigara's glass. #KcbBeastsOfBurden— Willy Omar (@Willychopi) April 19, 2018.

#KcbBeastsOfBurden someone had 2 speak up and highlight this. #KcbBeastsOfBurden its the high time i leave and join Stan chartered its more enjoyable to see Mo Salah Mane scoring in that shirt than KCB draining its staff— ule msee (@MuiruriEvans) April 19, 2018.
