The 'irony' of the occurrences of the day is that Cord leader Raila Odinga shared the same table with Moses Kuria, who had allegedly called for the assassination of the veteran politician.

However, the main irony is the level at which Kenyans take what they are told by politicians very seriously. Kenyans on Tuesday witnessed how two political leaders who have seen each other scarcely share a table and have lunch together.

This is a lesson that Kenyans should get down and critically digest before jumping to conclusions. In politics, there has never existed permament enemies. The best example that should have served Kenyans was the 2007 and 2013 alliances formed before elections.

On the two occasions, there were major changes from the 2007 alliances to that of 2013. In 2013, enemies joined hands to seek power. President Uhuru Kenyatta teamed with Deputy President William Ruto who was in Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) in 2007 while Uhuru Kenyatta was in the Party of National Unity(PNU).

Odinga teamed with Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula in 2013 who were his opposition in 2007. Kenyans should understand that holding hate and mistrust against each other will only lead to their downfall while their leaders continue prospering.

Feelings of hate and mistrust should not be the order of the day. Kenyans should put aside their differences and forge forward towards achieving daily goals in life.

The deceitfulness of political leaders should not influence their level of reasoning because that will only lead to warfare. Kenya is bigger than an individual and all its inhabitants should take caution when making utterances.

Leaders should also lead from the front and guide their people properly. This will help forge Kenya forward.
