Legislators from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) have been shifting from the party to the Jubilee party. Some of the legislators include Mburu Aburi (Tigania East), Steve Kariuki (Mathare) and Issac Mwaura (Nominated MP).

This is a clear indication that they scheming for ways of retaining their seats come 2017.

On the other hand, Jubilee has also been faced with those decamping to Cord. Most defectors from Jubilee are affiliated to Deputy President's William Ruto United Republican Party (URP).

They have termed the merger between URP and Jubilee party as uncalled for and have long criticised their patron, Ruto for making decisions on their behalf.

Kenyans should now take notes from these leaders who at one time were together in criticising the 'enemy' party but are now joining the same party.

Kenyans should stop fighting each other on the basis of tribal lining and should be on the forefront of empowering others in the society to live in harmony with one another.

In 2007, Kenyans blindly followed their leaders and they were incited to turn against each other.

They eventually killed each other, looted from each other and maimed and displaced each other leading to a national crisis.

In the race for 2017, Kenyans should critically evaluate everything they are told by their leaders and understand that politics is a game.

The political leader who schemes best walks home a winner and Kenyans should take the current decamping to other parties as a sign of political scheming and they should not turn against each other for no apparent reason.
