The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) on Tuesday launched a mobile self service Application dubbed 'NTSA Self Service'.

The mobile App is found on Google Play Store and Kenyans can use to report cases of motorists failing to comply with traffic regulations.

NTSA Managing Director Francis Meja said Kenyans can as well use the App to perform all inquiries regarding validity of various compliance status in the transport sector once they are registered to ensure complainants give accurate information.

"Once you get registerd with App using your details, you will get a notification through your phone number. We will be able to store your details and information, so as to know whether the information or message you are complaining about is correct,'' said Meja.

Speaking during the launch of the App, he revealed road accidents has reduced by 38 per cent in the last three months, and attributed it to proper safety regulations and awareness strategies by its officers.

He said 118 people in Nairobi alone had been saved after pedestrians embraced crossing roads and highways using footbridges and pedestrian crossings.
