Bishop Maurice Muhatia Makumba of the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru has urged Kenyans to make regular visits to health facilities to know their health status.Speaking on Friday during a special mass for the sick at Cathedral church of Christ the King,the clergy said many diseases can be treated if diagonised early.
He also slammed those opposed to regular checkups on grounds that they are expensive saying the checkups play a key role.
He called on patients to strictly to follow the doctors' advice without neglect.
The special mass was also attended by the Diocesan Vicar General Fr Lawrence Mbogho, Fr John Kipruto in charge of hospital chaplaincy, Sister Florence Karimi the cordinator Medical services in the Diocese, priests, nuns, brooders, medics among others.
