President Uhuru Kenyatta has attracted the wrath of Kenyans online for being ‘out of touch’ with reality.
Photos of the president who hosted artists at State House on Wednesday were shared online shedding light on what went on during the meeting where the president asked youths to register in large to vote in the August election.Once again, Kenyans are questioning the president’s action saying he is suffering from not prioritising what needs urgent attention in the country like the drought crisis and corruption in high places. Some people have dismissed the action as a PR gimmick which is working against the president in the face of increasing challenges for the ordinary citizens. In two trending topics #TheRichVsThePoor and #DabOfShame, the president’s critics feel he should do better than hosting groups of Kenyans at state house for photo ops. Here are some reactions:
Hunger n thirst killing pple, docs n lecs on strike, jobless youths, shabaab killing our forces. What we get for all that, a #DabOfShame😡😠

But it wasn’t all gloom as some came to the defence of the president.
#DabOfShame come on people you make it look like the president has done the dab a whole month. It's just alittle fun 😅
