National government spokesperson Erick Kiraithe has urged Kenyans to take seriously intelligence reports issued by security agencies in the country.Speaking during an interview with KTN News hannel,Kiraithe said most Kenyans were treating casually issues of security and said that any intelligence alert issued by either the police or any other security agency was well researched and ought to be treated with the seriousness they come with."I want Kenyans to start taking seriously any intelligence reports issued by security forcesHis sentiments comes barely hours after suspected Al Shabab militants attacked Pandanguo area of Lamu county and destroyed property in a police post and a primary school.According to Coast police boss Philip Tuimur security agencies had since rersponded to the attackers and engaged them in a fierce gun battle.
No casualties have not however been recorded so far.
