Nyamira County governor John Nyagarama has asked NASA leader Raila Odinga to embrace dialogue and stop his swearing-in plan as the People’s President.
Nyagarama speaking on Saturday at a burial of former KTDA chairman Stephen Imanyara at Kagwampungu primary school in Imenti South, Meru County said NASA and Jubilee should talk to end the stalemate for the sake of peace.
“People whether in opposition or government should sit and talk to avoid chaos in the country. Everybody will be held responsible if anything bad will happen. Jubilee and opposition politicians should push for talks between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Nyagarama.
The governor said the economy of the country will be affected negatively if divisive and prolonged politics will not end.
Opposition MPs have maintained that Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka will be sworn in as planned on January 30.
