According to the latest research conducted by Infotrak and commissioned by Africa Centre for Open Governance (Africog), 67.3% of Kenyans in seven out of the former eight former provinces hold the view that the president should involve the opposition when it comes to picking the new commissioners to give room for free, and credible elections.

In support of this view regionally, the Coast leads with 85.9 per cent followed by Nyanza at 82 per cent, Western region at 69.3 per cent and Rift Valley at 67.3 per cent.
